Our company is proud to introduce our exhibit that is newest when you look at the Tragen Folk memorial.

With approximately twenty unique works of art that date through the 17 th Century to the current, Los Angeles Misión explores the narrative of this individuals located in the Rio Grande River Valley. Featuring artwork from Museo’s collection that is private the exhibit examines the artistic language distinctive to your colonial artwork of brand new Mexico. The gallery is made similar to an objective church interior, to give a proper room and context when it comes to numerous Santos, retablos along with other artworks into the display.

Now Open – Rhythm and Ritual: Music associated with the Ancient Americas

Museo is collaborating because of the Denver Art Museum to create for you an innovative new and exciting event. Explore 80 ancient musical instruments that date from between 2500 BCE to 1550 CE. This show analyzes the contexts by which music had been done through the ancient Americas, celebrates the legacies that ancient music will continue to possess, and invite guests to play 3D printed replicas of this initial instruments that are musical display. Curated by Jared Katz associated with the Denver Art Museum.

Museo de las Americas thinks Black Lives situation. We think brown lives matter, so we think native life matter. For people, it has for ages been real and can often be real.

We invest in giving support to the black colored community by deepening artists, curators to our engagement and help experts of color, specially black colored and afro-latinx people.

We agree to being advocates that are strong all communities of color and make an effort to shine the limelight in the amazing innovative outpourings of those communities.

We additionally acknowledge that anti-blackness is a nagging issue both in the art community as well as the latinx community. We agree to learning more info on ways we might be perpetuating anti-blackness or oppression unknowingly, and we also agree to making the changes that may enable us to be always a deeply inclusive, diverse and equitable company.

This tasks are deep and ongoing. Museo de las Americas is continually trying to create a foundation of advocacy, help and self-reflection that is critical.
